Death is never an easy topic to talk about. Edward S. Gleason said in his book Dying We Live, “Death happens, despite what we do to avoid it. Everything that begins, ends. The fact may not be welcomed, but it is REALISTIC. Death is a central part of life, and despite everything it takes from us, so too it enriches and strengthens.” Being prepared is the best gift that you can give your family.
There will be a two part presentation August 18th and August 25th on preparing for death. Included will be sessions on where to start planning, durable power of attorney, end of life care, grief and funeral planning. The sessions will be held in the Small Hall from 6:30PM-8:30PM. Come to one or to both. This presentation is for all ages because you shouldn’t put off dying until the end
For more information or for questions, please contact the parish nurse, Stephanie Gaudin at 665-5359 or [email protected]. So that we will have adequate materials, please RSVP to the Parish Office by August 20th for the first session.
