Our High School Youth Students are hosting a Gala and Silent Auction to raise money for their jubilee to Rome next summer. The celebration of a Jubilee comes from the Jewish tradition where a Jubilee was celebrated every 50 years. This year marked a time to re-establish relationships with God and with one another. Pope Boniface VIII called the first Jubilee or "Holy Year" in 1300, and now celebrated every 25 years. This year's theme for the Holy Year is "Pilgrims of Hope". Pope Francis has invited youth from all over the world to Rome. The journey will start in Assisi and lead into Rome with the touring of major Basilicas. The students will partake in the opening of the "Holy Doors" . Students were chosen at random throughout the end of the PSR year and summer, as they volunteered with no knowledge of a trip. The goal was to find students striving to minister to their peers while deepening their own faith. Our parish will be taking 11 youth. Please help support our youth by buying a ticket to the Gala and auction or by donation.
The ICC teens are so thankful for your constant support. Your generous donations will help make this trip even more amazing.
